Owner’s Guide
How to register your Parasound unit
Why register
A few good reasons to spend two minutes
Tap any reason to read more.
✓Guidance across your whole system
Because we can see everything you own, our advice fits your full setup, not just one box.
✓The right help, faster
With your unit on record, we can point you straight to the right answer, part, or place to go instead of starting from scratch.
✓Warranty and repairs, pre‑filled
Your coverage and purchase details are on record, so a warranty or repair request starts filled in, with no hunting for paperwork.
✓Proof it’s genuine, and yours
We can confirm you as the owner and that the unit came through Parasound’s authorized channel, not gray‑market, which protects resale value and reassures a buyer if you ever sell.
✓Easy transfer when you sell
Hand ownership to a private buyer cleanly, so their unit is registered from day one.
✓Service and safety notices
If we ever issue an update or bulletin for your unit, we know how to reach you.
✓New owner perks over time
Access to benefits we add for registered owners, even years after purchase.
Start here
First, make sure you’re signed in
If you’ve ever asked us a question or bought from us, you already have a Parasound account. You may just need to sign in. Signing in is by email: we send you a one‑time code, so there’s no password to remember.
You can tell at a glance from the person icon in the top‑right corner of any page:
Top-right corner of the page
One door for everything
Everything below happens on one page: My Registered Units (in the top menu under Support). If you’re not signed in when you open it, it will simply ask you to sign in first, then bring you right back.
Find your situation
Which of these is you?
Pick the one that matches how you got your unit, and follow just that step.
You bought it directly from Parasound.com
Already done for youNothing to fill out. We register every direct purchase automatically when it ships. Just sign in and open your units to see it, with your warranty already on record. No receipt needed.
See my registered units →You bought it from an authorized Parasound dealer
Receipt only if in warrantyOpen your units, choose Register a unit, and enter your model and serial number.
If you believe it’s still under warranty, add a photo or scan of your receipt so we can confirm your coverage. A quick phone photo is fine. A receipt is required to put a dealer purchase on record as in‑warranty.
If it’s past its warranty period, no receipt is needed.
Either way, tell us which dealer you bought from, especially if they’re still your local dealer. That lets us connect your account to them, so you get more hands‑on help down the road.
Register a unit →You bought it used or second‑hand
No receipt requiredYou can still register it, and we recommend you do. Choose Register a unit and select that you bought it used. The factory warranty stays with the original purchase and doesn’t transfer to a second owner, but registering still lets you get help for this exact unit and puts it on record under your name.
Register a unit →You bought it outside the United States
Record onlyRegister it so we have it on file, and choose Outside the United States when asked. Units bought abroad are serviced through your in‑country Parasound distributor rather than by us directly, and the US factory warranty doesn’t apply, but you’ll still have a home for support and records.
Register a unit →You received it as a gift
Now it’s yoursRegister it under your own account so it’s tied to you, using the same steps as a new purchase. If whoever gave it to you can share the original receipt, include it. If not, register it anyway and we’ll help sort out the details.
Register a unit →You don’t see your unit, or it’s an older model
We’ll helpIf you’ve registered but your unit isn’t showing, or it’s an older model that isn’t in the list, tell us the model and serial and we’ll research it and add it for you.
Send us the details →Finding your serial number
Your serial number is on a label on the unit, usually on the back or bottom. It’s the shorter number, about 5 to 7 digits. The longer 12‑digit number by the barcode is the product’s UPC, not the serial.
Read it off the unit, not the box. The serial printed on the carton reflects what originally shipped inside. If you bought the unit used, or it was ever returned, exchanged, or sent in for service, the unit may differ, so please confirm the serial on the unit itself.
About your warranty
Registering doesn’t change your warranty. Coverage runs from the original purchase date whether or not you register. Registering simply puts it on record and helps us help you faster.
