Authorized dealers & avoiding scams (See Dealer List)
Parasound products which are purchased from anyone other than a currently Authorized Parasound Dealer are expressly excluded from Parasound's warranties. Any previously opened unit purchased after June 15, 2023 is excluded from Parasound Warranties. Parasound's warranties, like our products, are exceptional. Don't make the mistake of buying from someone who has chosen not to meet our qualifications, and in doing so run the risk of being sold not only the wrong product, but one for which you have no warranty protection!
Authorized Parasound Dealers are not permitted to sell our current products outside of the US. Parasound's authorized dealers are listed on the Dealer List page. Anyone not listed may not be currently authorized, cannot offer Parasound's warranty, and usually cannot supply Parasound merchandise or repair parts after you have paid for it.
The Parasound warranty is not transferable and is valid only for the original purchaser unless otherwise dictated by local law.

Important Consumer Warranty Information:
Read the below Parasound Limited Warranty carefully to understand the applicable rights and limitations. This section provides instructions for obtaining repairs, both for units covered under the Parasound Limited Warranty and for units or situations which are outside the Warranty.
For product sales after 6/15/2023 the Parasound factory warranty will ONLY be honored on USA sales of current never opened new units from those who are Authorized Parasound Dealers at the time of the sale.
Read descriptions/receipts carefully to ensure you receive a unit that has never been opened (especially those that are discounted). This does not preclude a seller from extending their own warranty on opened product. If your dealer is not listed on the Dealer List, please fill out the "Contact Us" form and we'll let you know their status right away!
The Following Warranty Valid in the USA Only (and for Parasound.com sales into Canada dated after 6/24/2024)
Outside USA and Parasound.com sales: Warranty and all terms/scope/duration of warranty for products purchased outside the USA and not through parasound.com is provided solely by the Parasound International Authorized Distributor in the country where product was purchased. Our International Authorized Distributors are independent businesses and are under no obligation to provide warranty repairs for Parasound products that were not imported by them. Scope and Duration of Warranty
Subject to the terms and conditions stated below, Starwarriors IV LLC ("Parasound") warrants to the original owner that new, unopened Product shall be free from defects in workmanship or materials as follows:
- The warranty period excepting moving parts, remote controls, lasers, front panel displays, and video screens, is for the following terms for parts and labor from the date when the new, unopened Product was purchased from an Authorized Parasound Dealer.
- JC and HALO Product Lines – 5 years
- ZoneMaster(TM) - 3 years
- Z-Custom and New Classic Product Lines – 2 years.
- Warranty start date begins upon first purchase of the unit from an Authorized Dealer, Authorized Distributor, or Parasound directly. A unit purchased by an Authorized Dealer through an Authorized Distributor has a warranty start date based upon that sale, not the date the Authorized Dealer resells it.
- The warranty period for Vintage Models and any Parts purchased Parasound’s official web store (www.parasound.com) is for a term of 30 days for parts and labor.
- Discontinued Products purchased from Parasound or a Parasound Authorized Dealer after the discontinued date will carry a warranty with a term ending one (1) year for parts and labor from the published discontinued date.
- Parasound online store may have exclusions or modifications to the warranty included in the description of the product.
Limitations on Persons and Products Covered
- This warranty, and all rights provided hereunder, are limited to the original owner. In the event that the original owner transfers ownership of the Product prior to expiration of the applicable term stated in "Scope of Duration" above, this Warranty shall terminate in its entirety upon the date of such transfer.
- In addition, Parasound does not warrant in any way Products which are purchased from anyone who is not an Authorized Parasound Dealer ast the time of sale. Therefore, if this Product falls into any of the foregoing categories, this Warranty is void.
- This warranty does not cover the cost of custom installation, customer instruction, setup adjustments, signal reception problems, Mileage and/or travelling time in respect of service, or pick-up or delivery costs incurred.
What Parasound Will Do Under the Warranty
In the event of any defect covered by this Warranty, Parasound shall without charge provide all parts and materials and, during the period applicable to labor, will also provide all labor necessary to restore the Product to its original specifications, and shall return the Product to the original dealer/seller, or owner if dealer/seller is no longer authorized Parasound or Product was purchased directly from Parasound) at Parasound's expense within the U.S. only (Exception: Into Canada for Parasound.com web sales). In the alternative, Parasound may at its sole option either replace the Product without charge, or if replacement is not commercially practicable or repair or replacement cannot be accomplished within a reasonable time, Parasound may refund the purchase price of the Product, subject, where appropriate, to reasonable depreciation for actual use in accordance with applicable laws in full satisfaction of its warranty obligations, Parasound will undertake to complete the repair and return of the Product as soon as circumstances permit, unless prevented by causes beyond its reasonable control.
LIMITATIONS ON PARASOUND'S OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE WARRANTY PARASOUND'S SOLE OBLIGATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE TO REPAIR OR REPLACE THE PRODUCT, OR AT ITS OPTION, REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE, AS PROVIDED FOR HEREINABOVE. PARASOUND DOES NOT WARRANT AGAINST, NOR SHALL IT BE LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION CHARGES; SHIPPING EXPENSES TO DEALER/SELLER, PARASOUND, OR ITS AUTHORIZED SERVICE FACILITY; LOSS OF USE; PROPERTY DAMAGE OF ANY KIND; OR OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND.
Note: Some states do not allow exclusions or limitation of consequential damages, so the foregoing exclusions may not apply to you.
Exclusions: Parts and Occurrences That Are Not Covered by the Warranty
In addition to the exclusions stated in "Limitations on Persons and Products Covered" above, this Warranty does not cover any of the following:
- Glass or plastic panels, cabinetry, trim, or other appearance items (except where they are defective at the time of original sale and the Product is delivered for repair within the first thirty (30) days thereafter);
- Batteries or failure of or damage to the Product caused by batteries.
- Lack of routing maintenance
- Fair wear and tear
- Connection to an improper voltage supply
- Failures arising from accident, carelessness, improper transportation, abuse, catastrophe, misuse, neglect, externally short-circuited, or failure to properly connect or operate the Product in accordance with the accompanying instructions or specifications.
- Failure of moving parts, remote controls, lasers, front panel displays and video screens occurring more than 1 (one) year after purchase, even though the Product may otherwise still be under warranty, as provided in "Scope and Duration" above.
- Failures of any kind in Products which evidence any tampering, alteration, defacement of their serial numbers, or attempted servicing by anyone other than authorized Parasound repair center using a valid RMA.
- Alterations or modification to the unit
- Failures arising from improper installation of the Product or incompatibility of other components in the system of which the Product is a part.
Parasound shall have no liability or obligation of any kind with respect to any of the foregoing types of failures.
What the Owner Must do to Obtain Service Under This Warranty
- If product purchased from and Authorized Dealer
- The owner must first contact Dealer to troubleshoot issue.
- Dealer will then assign an appropriate resource to troubleshoot the issue.
- If troubleshooting does not solve the issue, the owner must deliver or ship the product at their expense, properly packaged, prepaid, and insured to the Dealer.
- Dealer will then coordinate repair/replacement with Parasound and return product to owner when resolved.
- If purchased directly from Parasound or Dealer is no longer Authorized by Parasound, fill out the form at Contact Us.
- Once warranty support is validated, Parasound will then assign an appropriate resource to troubleshoot the issue.
- In the event that Parasound directs that the Product be returned, owner will be given a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number, which must appear on the label when the Product is returned to directed location. Products received without a visible RMA Number will not be entitled to treatment under this Warranty and will be returned unopened to the owner.
- The owner must in all events, at the owner's expense, arrange for any necessary de-installation of the Product; and, if Parasound requests that the Product be returned to a directed location, must at the owner's expense deliver or ship the Product via UPS (preferred) or FedEx, properly packaged, prepaid, and insured, to the location noted on the RMA.
- In addition, the owner must provide evidence that the Product is at the time of delivery within the scope of this Warranty, by emailing the original or a legible copy of the dated sales receipt from an authorized dealer (who was authorized at the time of sale) including serial number with the Product when submitted for repair.
- Obtain a specific Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions from Parasound. Shipping without an approved RMA will be returned unopened.
Packaging and Shipping (
- The original packaging should be used for the safe transit of to your Dealer or Parasound (Las Vegas, NV)
- All customers (including Canadian) ship warranty items to dealer purchased from or Parasound)
- If you do not have the original packaging, You may purchase authorized replacement packaging from the Parasound webstore.
- You are responsible for the cost of shipping the product to your dealer or authorized repair center.
- You should insure the product for its full retail cost in the event it gets lost or damaged in transit.
- Parasound is not responsible for damage incurred during the transit of products sent to us.
- Parasound reserves the right to charge you for new factory packaging to return your product after a repair.
Units Will Be Refused Service Under the Following Conditions:
- Unit was sent without the Parasound-assigned RMA number marked on the carton.
- Unit was sent in an unsuitable shipping carton, likely to have been damaged in transit.
- Unit has inadequate packing, unit likely to have been damaged in transit.
- Unit was shipped collect for shipping charges. We do not accept collect shipments.
- Unit was shipped via the US Postal Service.
- Unit was sent to an address other than the address instructed by our RMA authorization email.
Unit is not eligible for repair under the terms of the Parasound warranty if:
- Unit was not purchased from a Parasound Authorized Dealer (at the time of sale)
- You are not the original owner. The Parasound warranty is not transferable.
- Unit's serial number was removed, modified, or defaced.
- Unit shows evidence of abuse and/or misuse.
- Unit was modified in any way.
- A prior repair was attempted by an unauthorized repair station.
- Unit was purchased as anything other than new/unopened for purchased made after June 15, 2023
What the Owner Must Pay For
- As noted above, the owner must arrange and pay any expense for removing the Product from its installation and for delivering it to Parasound authorized location.
- Upon return of the Product to the owner following repair or replacement, it shall be the owner's responsibility to arrange and pay for any reinstallation which may be required.
- In addition, it shall be the owner's obligation to pay for any repairs made to Products for which the owner has failed to include a legible copy or the original of the dated sales receipt with the product when delivered for service, or which are otherwise subject to the exclusions noted above, and must also pay applicable labor charges for any Product on which the labor portion of the Warranty has expired, at Parasound's then-current repair rates.
