Zdac Digital to Analog Converter

In a market filled with DACs, Parasound has set a new standard for performance and value with the help of acclaimed Danish
digital experts Holm Acoustics. The Zdac sounds more natural and less "digital" than DACs selling for far more because of its
innovative design and high quality parts. Its unique re-clocking system preserves the original source audio data by
eliminating jitter contamination that is picked up along the digital signal chain. This is accomplished through the synergy
of two premium parts, an Analog Devices AD1895 asynchronous sample rate converter and an AD1853 DAC IC, the same DAC
IC that Holm selected for our Halo CD 1 CD player. To further improve sound quality the signal is up-sampled to 422kHz. This
highly effective jitter-reduction system works on all inputs, not just the USB input, as in many other DACs.

CD 1 CD Player

The Parasound CD 1 uses a new method for playing CDs that is based on using a CD ROM drive instead of a conventional CD drive and a
Linux-based computer to read and process the CD data. The CD ROM drive in the CD 1 runs at 4 times the speed of a conventional CD player
drive in order to accumulate a vast amount of data. An on-board Intel ITX computer, running the Linux operating system kernel dramatically
improves the reading of CD disc data. It analyzes CD data and reads every part of a CD as many times as are needed to significantly reduce
errors and, accordingly, the negative effects of error concealment. The result is a nearly bit-perfect data stream.

The Parasound Halo CD 1 Compact Disc Player is offered in both traditional Halo silver chassis and the new Halo all black finish.

A 31 Three Channel Power Amplifier

The A 31 was designed in response to increasing demand for a three channel power amp that holds nothing back in power or performance.
It is identical in performance and sound to the award-winning Halo A 51.

Here are a few of the many applications for the A 31:

To power the front three channels of a home theater. The surround or back channels can then be powered by a smaller 2 channel Parasound
power amp such as the Halo A 23. This gives the greatest power to the front channels where it is needed the most.

To power the center channel and two surround channels. This allows the Left and Right front speakers to be powered by a dedicated
two channel power amp such as the Halo A 21, or better yet, two JC 1 monoblocks. This is ideal for the music lover who is unwilling
to compromise stereo reproduction.

To power the front three channels in an AV receiver-based system. The remaining surround and back channels can be driven by the receiver.
This assures you the best sound for the front channels while enabling the AVR to produce more power for the surround and back channels.

However the A 31 is used, you will be delighted by its impeccable sonics, striking authority and faithful reproduction of the smallest details.

Halo Black

Halo has previously only been available in a beautiful anodized silver. Over the past few years many of our clients have
asked that we produce the Halo series in black to match existing components in their systems. We are proud to introduce
Halo models in a stunning black anodized finish. Models currently available in black are A 23, A 21, A 31, A 51, JC 1, CD 1
and JC 2. More models will be available in the coming months.
